The First China-Russia Logistics Business Forum Held in Moscow

The forum, themed “New Opportunities and New Horizons,” brought together representatives from government agencies, logistics companies, industry associations, import-export trade, and financial institutions from both China and Russia to discuss the prospects and opportunities for China-Russia logistics cooperation.

Zhang Hanhui, Chinese Ambassador to Russia, stated in his speech that in recent years, China-Russia logistics cooperation has created more favorable conditions for smooth trade, industrial linkage, and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, yielding fruitful results. Looking ahead, China-Russia logistics cooperation holds great potential. It is important to seize opportunities and build momentum to advance this cooperation to a higher quality and level.

Dmitry Birichevsky, Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, remarked that the situation in the Middle East has exposed the vulnerability of the global economy, trade, and logistics. Russia and China’s active promotion of logistics cooperation serves as a model for intergovernmental collaboration.

Alzbek Koroshev, Commissioner for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, noted that global supply chains are currently undergoing changes, and China’s Belt and Road Initiative carries significant practical relevance.

Gennady Besonov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Railway Transport Committee, pointed out that in the future, trade volumes between Russia, China, and CIS countries will continue to grow, and Russia-China cooperation needs to strengthen connectivity.
